IT IS indeed newsworthy that a Christian group is calling for a boycott of Richard Dawkins at the Faclan Hebridean Book Festival, because it is extremely unusual for Christians to  behave like this.

Christian groups are more often to be found encouraging debate and interaction.

In fact, it is the atheist Prof Dawkins who has avoided debating with prominent Christian apologist William Lane Craig.
