Poor pupil

THE Nationalist MSP Stewart Stevenson’s name calling at the expense of the late Professor RV Jones, a British war hero (your article, 26 December) is to be deplored.

Mr Stevenson admits he was educated by Prof Jones at Aberdeen University.

In applying the term “crap” to the professor’s teachings, perhaps Mr Stevenson is referring to the poor job the good professor did on him, as a future, accident-prone SNP transport minister?

In my view Mr Stevenson is as bright as a dull day, and we have all witnessed the mess he leaves behind.
