Olympic snafu

Alastair Dalton’s report (16 July) highlights the smugness and complacency of Sports Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

The fact that he can describe as “completely normal” the fracas of the security arrangements for the Olympic Games beggars belief.

The American acronym snafu (situation normal all fouled up) seems more than apposite.
