Life or death

The erroneous assumption made by Angela Innes (Letters 20 November) proves my point about the tragic case of Jessie-Maye Barlow being less widely reported.

Miss Barlow “retained products of conception” after the abortion procedure, meaning her body had not managed to pass everything associated with her pregnancy and was nothing to do with “dirty hospitals” as Angela Innes believes.

Miss Barlow would still be alive today had she not had an abortion. Unfortunately, when abortion kills women there is no media frenzy or calls for abortion to be banned.

The only voices to be heard in such cases, as always, are the voices of pro-lifers speaking up for women and the unborn and they are far too often dismissed and
ignored.
