You report (24 January) that the cost of raising a child to the age of 21 has risen by 58 per cent in the past ten years to £225,338.

This horrifying information comes a day after Sir David Attenborough told us that humans have become a “plague on the Earth” – as part of his campaign to 
tackle over-population.

Perhaps the organisation that supplied the child-
raising information should join forces with Sir David to completely scare us out of breeding.
