Get on board

When the Blue Train electric service was first introduced on the north Clyde line in Glasgow, more than 50 years ago, the then railway management offered free travel for the first Sunday of full normal day service.

This was a resounding
success and guaranteed the successful introduction of electric railways to Scotland.

In view of the continual hostility to Edinburgh’s trams both the management and the actual cars need some customer support. The first week free would be an excellent idea.
