Farming Monopoly

What a brilliant idea of Fordyce Maxwell (Farming, 24 December) to have a board game called Farming Monopoly.

As he called for readers’ suggested improvements on his basic idea, I think every board should be set in a large feather-bed, to represent the cushioned protection from the chill winds of reality and harsh government decisions the industry has enjoyed over the past 70-odd years.
