Fair’s fair

FOR many years, women have been stridently fighting what they perceive as discrimination against them on account of gender.

Hence it is highly amusing to hear them squawking when a move towards equality affects them adversely, the latest gripe being over motor insurance premiums (your report, 15 November).

Come on, girls. Do you want true equality? If you do, pay up and shut up, and give us lads a bit of a laugh.

Of course you don’t really hanker for total equality. You want to pick and choose where, and where not, to be equal depending on whether or not application of your principles are in your best interests.
