Dundee won yet another feather in its cap following the decision to build the £45 million V&A museum in the heart of its very smart and attractive dockland area.

Aberdeen city business chiefs are living in the past in pleading with Aberdeen City Council to reverse the decision to dump the Union Terrace plan as this matter is now dead and it is
really time to move on.

Dundee, by comparison, has, over the past 20 years, carefully and tastefully redeveloped its shopping centre heart into something to be proud of and has left Aberdeen lagging behind under various political administrations.

We do have some smart and popular shopping malls in Aberdeen but most of the connecting streets are in a state of sad decline with empty units everywhere highlighting how much we need to learn from Dundee.
