Admission rules

The use of the words “admit” and “admission” in David Maddox’s article about Tony Blairs “ordering” his staff to pray for him (25 July) was strange.

Admission normally suggests a confession of guilt.

Many people might want Tony Blair to “admit” he was wrong in his decision-making over Iraq or other matters, but surely this is a gross misuse of the word and a totally incorrect insinuation.
