Witch-hunt for knicker thief

Police and witch-hunters were called into two Zimbabwean villages after most of the resident women woke to find their underwear had been stolen.

Twenty-six women from Pauro and Charisekera in Gokwe South district reported their knickers missing last Wednesday, the Herald newspaper said.

The knickers have since been found in the nearby village of Njelele. Underwear is used in witchcraft rituals, the paper said, prompting tribal elders to call in the witch-hunters.
