Vietnamese to send aid to North Korea

Vietnam has said it will donate 5,000 tonnes of rice to flood-stricken North Korea.

The newspaper Nhan Dan said president Truong Tan Sang made the pledge in a meeting with North Korea’s visiting head of state, Kim Yong Nam. Flooding has killed 169 people in North Korea since late June.
