North Korean relaxes net ban

NORTH Korea is to relax state control of communications for the second time in recent weeks.

The move will allow overseas visitors to use mobile internet connections, though a ban on North Koreans using the service will continue.

It was only in recent weeks that the secretive Communist regime in Pyongyang began allowing foreigners to bring mobile phones into the country. Previously, all phones had to be left at customs.

The changes mean foreigners visiting North Korea will have unprecedented connectivity while living, working or travelling.
