Irish voters favour EU fiscal treaty
Two opinion polls suggest that a majority of Ireland’s voters are likely to support the European Union fiscal treaty in a referendum this year.
Yesterday’s poll findings are the first since Ireland announced last week it would hold a referendum.
One poll found 37 per cent intended to vote yes, 26 per cent no, while the other survey found 44 per cent in favour, 29 per cent against.
