12 troops killed by al–Shabaab bomb

At LEAST 12 people died in a bomb attack in Somalia yesterday targeting Somali and Ethiopian troops in a market in the southern city of Baidoa, witnesses and officials said.

The attack was the deadliest since troops captured Baidoa from al Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab rebels in February. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility.
