Chief scientist is appointed

THE head of one of Scotland’s leading medical research centres has been appointed the Government’s new Chief Scientist for Scotland.

Professor Andrew Morris is currently co-director of the Medical Research Institute at Dundee University and an expert in diabetes and health informatics. He succeeds Professor Sir John Savill in the post.

Prof Morris, who led a national programme of improvement in diabetes care in the past decade, won the Saltire Society Scottish Science Award in 2005 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Which government? Edinburgh or London? Dont you get the slightest feeling the hoorsman is a tad understaffed.

Expert in that what is for many a creation of big pharma, we are all really safe now. Another political muppet and one no doubt with ties direct into for-profit companies. Our health will never be for prevention when too many non patent natural substances are existence - Where does big pharma go, pharma starts with nature and when finished their junk science makes us "sick," "sick of" the lies, "sick of" the drug culture, and get the "meanings," its not about illness nor disease and its never excellent thinking about those disappointed.
