Fishing firms land £5.8m in grants

MORE than 120 fishing industry projects across Scotland are to benefit from a £5.8 million boost in the latest round of awards from the European Fisheries Fund.

The grants are also expected to trigger capital investment by the recipients of some £15m.

They include £313,528 for Lossie Seafoods in Buckie, and £177,600 for C & A Thomason in Shetland.
