First hydro–power scheme for park

The first hydro-electric scheme at Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park was officially opened yesterday.

Allt Fionn hydro on the Glenfalloch Estate, near Crianlarich, should generate enough electricity for about 1,700 households, more than a quarter of all homes in the park. It is one of four similar schemes near Loch Lomond being developed by Osspower.
