Galliford Try builds on increase
Housebuilder Galliford Try said yesterday that a resilient economy in south-east England helped it sell more homes at higher prices in the last 12 months.
The firm said it completed 3,039 houses in the year to end of June, up 40 per cent on the previous period.
The average price for sales to private buyers was £250,000, up from £$227,000 a year earlier.
Chief executive Greg Fitzgerald, said: “I am very pleased to report that we have exceeded the objectives of our three-year transformational plan, delivering a substantial increase in profits and return on capital.”
He added that the group was well-placed to deliver further margin improvement and growth.
It will provide full results for the year in September.
