Cupid appoints new finance chief in management shake-up

DATING website operator Cupid has appointed a new chief financial officer as part of a management overhaul.

The Edinburgh-based group said Niall Stirling, a former finance chief at energy drink maker Red Bull’s American business, will become chief financial officer and company secretary on 3 January. Current finance chief Mark Doughty will assume the newly-created role of commercial director to focus on growing revenues and profits in developing markets.

Phil Gripton, UK managing director of digital marketing firm Bigmouthmedia, will become managing director of

dating services next month.

Head of operations Vladimir Levykin was named managing director of social discovery, to develop new business models using social media such as Facebook, while marketing director Tatyana Seredyuk will become senior vice-president for North America, based in San Francisco.
