Law firm Brodies has today unveiled two further senior appointments at its operation in Aberdeen.
The hiring of oil and gas specialist Sonia Love, pictured, and corporate lawyer Suzanne Hopkinson takes the number of Brodies people based in the North-east to 30.
Love, who joins the firm as a partner, has more than 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, and has worked both in private practice and in-house for a number of major companies.
Hopkinson, an associate, will be able to call upon 14 years’ experience, having also worked both in private practice and in-house, in Brussels, London and Hong Kong.
She was previously the corporate counsel at US global telecoms company, MCI WorldCom.
Bill Drummond, managing partner at Brodies, said: “Sonia and Suzanne are experienced senior lawyers in their respective fields.
“Sonia’s wide-ranging expertise will be of tremendous benefit to clients in the oil and gas sector active in the latest round of UK Continental Shelf exploration and development.
“Suzanne, meanwhile, is ideally placed to support corporate clients across all sectors who want practical, commercially- focused advice.”
