DEFENDING champions Serena and Venus Williams thrashed the top seeds to secure their place in the Wimbledon women's doubles final and now face a busy schedule this afternoon.
The sisters will contest today's singles final and then go back out later in the day to take on Australians Samantha Stosur and Rennae Stubbs in the doubles. The Americans yesterday dismantled the game of Zimbabwe's Cara Black and American Liezel Huber to win 6-1, 6-2 on Court One.

The tone was set from the start as the fourth-seeded sisters won the opening five games, and the Black-Huber team could not fight back in the second set. Chasing a fourth doubles title at Wimbledon, the Williamses will face a team who had a far trickier semi-final.

Third seeds Stosur and Stubbs were 6-7 (7/3), 6-4, 6-2 winners against the Spaniards Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual.
