CONSULTATION on rural schools will be prominent on the national education agenda in the coming academic year.
Despite competing with the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) agenda for media and conference attention, the issue is not a separate one, given that two thirds of our schools are rural, and their quality will be judged, inevitably, by CfE criteria.
