Zola pleads case for West Ham's genuine support

GIANFRANCO Zola insists it would be unfair to the peaceable majority of West Ham's supporters if the club were to be punished heavily for violence that erupted around their Carling Cup win over Millwall in midweek.

Zola, who has signed 6million Italian striker Alessandro Diamanti from Livorno, said: "

It would be unfair to those who support football in the right way."
