Zemsky ready to keep Henderson run going

NICKY Henderson's team are hitting form with eight winners in the last 14 days and Zemsky can keep the run going with a debut success over fences at Ascot.

The six-year-old is already a point-to-point winner in Ireland and was also placed in a hunter chase at Kelso in 2008 but after joining the Henderson team last year, he went back to basics with two hurdling starts.

He opened with a convincing eight-length success over the well-regarded Neil Harvey before stepping up in class to win at Perth in April. Admittedly the last-flight fall of Star Lord left him clear that day, but Zemsky had nonetheless run an excellent race and may well have found a little extra in the finish.

Always a fencing prospect, he can strike at the first time of asking in the Futures Spread Trading Beginners' Chase.

Mark The Book can shrug off a lengthy absence in the Devon County Show Exeter Novices' Chase. He failed to hit the mark in five chase starts last term but he did fill the runner-up spot three times and is evidently not without ability.

Sunarri was just edged out of it at Aintree but can gain compensation in the Louis Coppola Novices' Hurdle at Kelso. Sonowyouno denied him by a head on Merseyside but given that was Sunarri's first hurdles start, he should be a bit wiser this time.
