Elliot Young, Dumbiedykes: "I'm pleased with the win. Hopefully we can carry this much luck into the qualifying campaign. With a bit of luck and confidence we should be able to put out a team that we can be proud of, if not one that can qualify. I felt Darius mixing up the words of Flower of Scotland was the highlight of what was ultimately a poor match. It's a shame that we can't entertain enough to fill Hampden regardless of the opposition."
Joe Tyler, Linlithgow: "I thought Scott Brown was our man of the match by a mile – he had his best performance in ages and on that basis you've got to think that we can build a midfield around him and Fletcher for the qualifiers, although Fletcher has had better games – his error in the first half almost cost us a goal."
Simon Johnston, Edinburgh: "It is good to get a friendly win at last after so many years of draws and defeats at Hampden. This gives us a good solid base to go forward into the qualifiers."
Mark Brunswick, Linlithgow: "I wasn't too optimistic in coming through here, as even though the Czechs aren't the team they once were they're still nobody's mugs and we've not exactly been at the top level over the last few years. But given the history of our friendly results we've got to be happy with this."
Malky Moriarty, Niddrie: "It was good to see a breath of fresh air throughout the whole set-up, from Levein's pre-game interviews to the general positive play we saw here from everyone who was involved – it looked a lot more relaxed than the last days of the Burley era. I think Dorrans and Brown were great and we're in good shape for the September and October qualifiers."
John Simpson, Loanhead: "We started off with a few nerves, but that's to be expected under a new manager. It was only disappointing that we couldn't get a bigger crowd. This will give the Czechs food for thought ahead of our game in Prague in October. If we took a point over there I would be happy though."
Davie Thomson, Leith:"Everyone got pass marks and I think Levein can be happy with that performance, even though you could say we got the win against the run of play. I thought Scott Brown, Barry Robson and Paul Hartley were out best players, but with guys like Hartley you've got to wonder how much they've got left in them. Levein needs to start building for the future at the same time as getting us to Euro 2012. It's tricky but I think he is the man to do it and I have confidence in him."
Mike Munro, Livingston: "I think that even though it was Levein's first game there was a pressure on him. The pressure you would associate with the Scotland job has got greater thanks to Burley's disasters but I think he stood up to be counted last night and showed he's willing to take risks when he needs to, changing it about in the second half and taking a more positive approach. I'm still not sure about Boyd coming back in though, although he got a better reception than I would have expected."
Paul McPartlin, Balerno: "Why do games like this not get played in Edinburgh? Hampden was empty and the atmosphere would have been a whole lot better in a smaller stadium. I felt we were a bit slow and cautious in the first half in particular and that wasn't suiting guys like Hutton who are used to a faster pace. I think we sorted that later in the second half, taking the game to the Czechs a bit more, and it paid off for us."
Scott Gibb, Leith: "I'll take that as a win! I am happy overall but I felt that in the first half we weren't at our best at all, but we managed to grind it out for the victory, which is what counts at the end of the day and gets rid of our Hampden hoodoo."
