Your views on Hearts' display
Ian Callaghan, Danderhall: "It was another very disappointing display from Hearts. There was a real lack of urgency in our performance.
"Motherwell didn't play at all well but they were still comfortable throughout."
Kevin Cumming, Edinburgh: "Hearts were simply awful. We didn't create a chance until the final 15 minutes of the game. Gary Glen should have had an equaliser for us and it was a really bad miss from him. We're in a bad way."
Rob Davis, Ingliston: "I can't believe how badly we played. The defending for the goal was awful. We have no guile in the midfield and I am very concerned ahead of the game next week. It's going to need to be a massive change of fortunes."
Jordan Osborne, Haymarket: "It's as if the match against Celtic didn't happen. We played the same way that we played against Falkirk last week. Csaba needs to change the tactics because 4-5-1 isn't working."
Michael Sullivan, Balgreen: "A massive disappointment. It's one step forward and two steps back for us.
"I think we're going to be caught up in a relegation battle this season unless Vlad splashes some cash in January."
John Ruthven, Fife: "We cannot have any complaints at all about the result. We had no cohesion or understanding. Craig Thomson made a big mistake at the goal and I would rest him ahead of the derby next week."
Bill Watson, Restalrig: "We never looked like winning this game. We didn't pass the ball well and, other than a 10 or 15-minute period after the sending off, we didn't put Motherwell under enough pressure. A bad result."
Andy Renwick, Portobello: "Not good enough from Hearts. We're far too negative, especially away from home, and we don't do enough to support Nade as the lone striker.
"We are in serious danger of getting drawn in at the wrong end of the table."
Colin Daley, Newington: "I have very serious concerns about where we are going to go from here. All of the encouragement we got from Wednesday's performance was more or less extinguished here. There is nothing much to be cheerful about."
Lee McVeigh, Westfield: "We had five midfielders on the pitch and we really found it difficult to create chances. There is no balance in the side and we aren't looking dangerous at all. The derby next week is coming at the worst possible time for us."
Wee Keith, Albion Terrace: "It would be very fair to say that we were rubbish. It will be very interesting to hear what the new Director of Football has to say after this display.
"After putting Celtic out of the League Cup in midweek, most of us thought that we must get some sort of result. Only Andy Driver came close to scoring but again he hit the woodwork. Egert Jonsson was sent of for stupidly bringing a man down but we played a bit better after that.
"We have come from behind before in the league to get into the top three but results like this do not do any good for the hearts of the supporters. Before we can make any progress, something must be done very soon. We must have fresh ideas and a little something from Vlad's wallet."
