Woods launches swearing outburst at photographer
TIGER Woods lost his temper as well as his seven-event winning streak at the Doral on Easter Monday as it emerged he indulged in a swearing outburst at an over-keen photographer.
Woods' every move is followed by a plethora of snappers and one in particular attracted the ire of the world No 1 during the final round of the CA Championship, in which he finished two shots behind winner Geoff Ogilvy of Australia. Woods struggled all weekend on the greens and after another lip-out at the ninth he let rip. "The next time a photographer shoots a f****** picture on my backswing I'm going to break his f****** neck," fumed the American.
Another man left frustrated was England's Graeme Storm after he failed to launch a credible push for the title in Miami. Storm still finished top European, tied for sixth behind Ogilvy, but he was hoping for even better.
"I was disappointed with the way I played the back nine," said the 30-year-old from Hartlepool, who had to complete the final nine holes at Doral's Blue Monster on Monday following Sunday's weather delay. "I was just so nervous and jumpy. I was fine during the night, but when I got back out there, I don't know what happened."
Storm, playing in the final group with Ogilvy and runner-up Vijay Singh, was in a position he had not previously experienced at this level.
He hit a couple of bad shots and made a bogey, before battling on to finishing four shots behind Ogilvy.
