Women secure spot in quarter-finals
Scotland qualified in sixth place for the European senior women's amateur team golf championship at Berlin Sporting Club yesterday.
They will play No 3 seeds Germany in the quarter-finals of the matchplay stages. England (760) earned top seed status.
The Scots required ten more shots than they did in the first qualifying round but no-one broke 80. Closest was Tain's Mary Smith who had Tuesday's non-scoring round. This time she led the Scots with an 80.
Fiona De Vries had an 81, Anne Ryan and Moira Thomson both 82 and Lorna Bennett an 84. Heather Anderson had the non-counting 86.
