Wolves face Titans clash

THE Edinburgh Wolves gridiron team must shut down the high-scoring Manchester Titans tomorrow to give themselves a chance to qualify for the post-season play-offs.

The Wolves, 3-3, are coming off a disappointing nine-point loss on the road to Merseyside but return home for a 4.00pm kick-off at Meadowbank Stadium, where they have yet to lose this season.

Coach Don Edmonston believes neither team can afford to lose.

"It's a make or break game," he said. "A loss for either team would effectively end their play-off chances if the other teams stay on form.

"The Titans have a very good pass offence and we need to pressure the quarterback from the first play, make him lose his targets and give our defence a chance to pick-off some passes."

The Capital side will also be looking to improve their offense, having averaged just over two touchdowns a game this season.

The game will preceded by a youth and junior game. Tickets for adults for all three games are 3, children are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.
