Wolves welcome Titans to their lair for opener

EDINBURGH Wolves begin their 2004 British Gridiron League campaign when Manchester Titans come calling at the Jack Kane Centre this Sunday.

The Wolves will look to build on late season momentum from last year when they chalked up three wins from their last five matches to finish their inaugural season with a 3-7 record.

The Wolves continue with a home game against the Doncaster Mustangs, a team they defeated by a one-point margin last term, followed by a two-game road trip with games in Dundee against the Hurricanes and to Darlington to face the Tees Valley Cougars.

The Cougars make the return trip of this double header two weeks later to close out the first half of the season.

Wolves general manager Douglas Adamson said: "We’re delighted to be starting and ending the season with home games, we hope that is a platform that we can build on by generating some support locally to cheer on an Edinburgh team."

Edinburgh Wolves fixture list: April 4th, Manchester (h) 2pm; April 25: v Doncaster (h) 2pm; May 1: v Dundee (a) 2:30pm; May 16: v Tees Valley (a) 2:30pm; May 30: v Tees Valley (h) 2pm: Jun 6: v Glasgow (h) 2pm; Jun 20: v East Midlands (a) 2.30pm; Jun 27: v Merseyside (a) 2.30pm: Julu 25: v Glasgow (a) 2.30pm; Aug 1: v Dundee (h) 2pm.
