Watson is relishing spinners duel
FALKLAND continue to play catch-up as they head for the west coast to take on Prestwick, a match-up in which experienced campaigner Paul Watson is looking forward to the duel of the spinners – Fifers' professional Tim Lythe against former Scotland player Andy Tennant.
Watson explained that the early-season weather has prevented New Zealander Lythe from plying his trade thus far.
He said: "We're excited at the prospect of getting him into our attack if the conditions are right.
"We noticed that Andy took a few wickets for Prestwick last weekend, so he is clearly in a bit of form and it is shaping up to be an intriguing contest.
"We beat Prestwick at their place last year, but they beat us at Scroggie Park, so I am expecting a tight game."
Dunfermline will be hot favourites to sweep aside Renfrew at McKane Park to continue their good run of form.
Elsewhere, Dumfries should also keep up their positive momentum against SMRH at Inverleith.
