Voges replaces Haddin
ADAM Voges has been called into Australia's squad for the upcoming one-day international series against England as a replacement for the injured Brad Haddin.
Voges was with the Australia team for the abandoned Twenty20 matches at Old Trafford and will now remain with the group for the seven-match ODI series which begins at The Oval on Friday.
The 29-year-old right-hander memorably pulled out of Australia's one-day series in South Africa earlier this year because he was getting married and only played his second ODI against Scotland last Friday, scoring an eye-catching 72 from 68 balls.
Voges' only ODI until then had been against New Zealand in 2007. But chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said. "With Brad Haddin's injury, the NSP has taken the opportunity to add Adam Voges to Australia's squad for the seven one-day international. Adam will now stay with the squad for the remainder of tour before travelling with the team to the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa."
