Video: Sir Chris Hoy on the Olympics, the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the future
SIR CHRIS Hoy, Britain’s most successful Olympian, has taken time out to speak about his memories of the London 2012 Olympics, his plans for the future and his delight at long-time sponsor Highland Spring issuing a limited edition version of their water in his honour, dubbed ‘Hoyland Spring.’
The standard labelling on the bottle has been replaced with gold, in recognition of Sir Chris’s sporting achievements. Limited to one million bottles, the product will be available to buy later on this month, and throughout November.
THe gold-medal winning cyclist said: “Highland Spring sent me a private supply of Hoyland Spring water earlier this year and I thought it was brilliant!
“I’m delighted they’ve taken it one step further and are giving people the chance to buy it.
“It’s been an incredible summer of sport and such an inspiration to everyone, and it’s great to see brands like Highland Spring helping to extend that good feeling further.”
Sir Chris has been a sporting ambassador for the drinks firm for four years, and works closely with the company to encourage more people, especially children, to increase their sporting activity by hosting sports days and events across Scotland.
