Video: Scots gymnasts hope medal will inspire boys

Waiting for Video...

SCOTLAND’S gold medal winning gymnasts Dan Keatings and Dan Purvis have urged Scottish boys to forget the fact that they perform in leotards and show their strength in the gymnastics arena.

The duo, who have both competed for GB and train with the top British gymnasts as they bid for Olympic glory in Rio, secured three medals each in a stunning performance in the Hydro and in the latest episode of ‘Scotsman at the Games’ they tell David Ferguson that the power and strength required to become top gymnasts shows the sport to be more “manly” and “cool” than many boys realise.
