With the London Olympics drawing to a close, the world’s attention will soon fall on Rio as the city builds up to

hosting two of the world’s biggest sporting tournaments.

The 2014 World Cup will be hosted in Rio with the Olympic Games headed to the city two years later.

The above time-lapse video shot by film maker Joe Simon shows off the best of what is undoubtably one of the most scenic cities in the world.
