Trio looking to emulate Matthew
CLARE Queen, Lynn Kenny and Jenna Wilson will be trying to follow in the footsteps of Catriona Matthew by winning the Scandinavian TPC, which starts today at Frosaker Golf Club in Sweden.
Matthew won in style at Barseback last year, but is not defending the title as she is playing in the Canadian Open next week – she has to play in Ottawa to fulfil an LPGA Tour rule that demands members play a tournament at least once every four years.
Annika Sorenstam is the tournament host at Frosaker – and it will be her final appearance in Sweden before she retires at the end of the year. She has won the title six times, and is firm favourite to make it No7.
The 37-year-old's last event will be the Dubai Ladies' Masters in December.
