Third Division: Revenge is sweet at Stair Park as One nets twice against Clyde
Stranraer earned revenge on bottom side Clyde for their defeat on Saturday and moved to the top of the table by defeating the Bully Wee 3-1 at Stair Park. The visitors' Ricky Waddell went close after eight minutes with a fierce left- foot shot and the home side responded with Armand One forcing John Hutchison into a fine save on 21 minutes.
One had better luck two minutes from half time when the in-form French striker fired home a pass from Craig Malcolm from the right hand side of the box to give the Blues the lead.
John Stewart took a Waddell pass in his stride before levelling for Clyde four minutes into the second half but Craig Malcolm put Stranraer back on top in 66 minutes when he shot home.
One netted again nine minutes from time when he volleyed in a cut back from substitute Sean Winter to manoeuvre Keith Knox's men to the summit.
Annan Athletic's wait for a midweek win as a SFL side continues after Berwick Rangers hit back to earn a point at Galabank. Rangers skipper Kevin Neilson headed Harry Cairney's men in front on 35 minutes and it looked like the historic win was on. Thoughts were turning to celebrating their unique triumph until the Borderers' top scorer Darren Gribben popped up to convert a pass from Kevin Gordon with 15 minutes left.
One consolation for Annan manager Cairney is that the point moves his men into a promotion play-off spot in fourth at the expense of Queen's Park.
