Third division: Moyes takes Livi to the top with late winner at Hampden
QUEEN'S Park 1 Livingston 2 LIVINGSTON are now two points clear at the summit after their victory against a spirited Queen's Park at Hampden.
After an uneventful opening period, Livingston took the lead two minutes after the break. Young midfielder Keaghan Jacobs showed impressive pace to charge past the home defence before finishing calmly.
Queen's Park reacted positively though, and Paul Quinn headed home an equaliser in the 62nd minute.
However, the hosts' relief was short-lived as, three minutes later, Livingston's Ewan Moyes bundled home a scrappy winner after a goalmouth scramble.
Elgin City 0 Forfar Athletic 2
FORFAR Athletic produced a fine performance at Borough Briggs to secure a win over Elgin City.
Martyn Fotheringham got the crucial opening goal five minutes before the interval and the experienced Chris Templeman added a well-taken second in the 55th minute.
Stranraer 1 East Stirlingshire 2
EAST Stirling ran out 2-1 winners against Stranraer at Stair Park, amid atrocious weather conditions.
The visitors went ahead after only ten minutes through the in-form Andy Rodgers and Jamie Stevenson doubled Shire's advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Stranraer's Paul McInnes pulled a goal back in the 57th minute, but an equaliser proved elusive as East Stirling held on for the three points.
Albion Rovers 0 Annan Athletic 0
ALBION Rovers were held to a goalless draw by Annan Athletic at Cliftonhill, in a match dominated by the home side.
The Coatbridge side almost took an early lead when Marc Pollock struck the woodwork with a powerful volley.
Annan's Greg Kelly then produced fine saves to deny Paul Tyrrell and Adam Strachan.
In the closing stages, the hosts should have netted a deserved winner when Marc McCusker picked out Ciaran Donnelly, who blasted wide from close range.
