Third division: Single goal enough for Livingston to increase lead at top
Elgin City 0 Livingston 1 LIVINGSTON took a huge stride towards winning the Third Division title, extending their lead at the summit to ten points after a gutsy 1-0 win at Elgin.
Rafa De Vita provided the crucial winning goal three minutes before half-time.
Queen's Park 2 East Stirling 0
QUEEN'S PARK now only trail fourth-placed Berwick Rangers on goal difference after an impressive win over East Stirling at Hampden.
The visitors started promisingly as Michael Bolochoweckyj and Simon Lynch both went close.
However, Queen's Park's Jack Henry missed the best chance of the first half, firing wide from six yards in the 41st minute.
Eight minutes after the interval, the Spiders opened the scoring when Paul Stewart's lob defied goalkeeper Jamie Barclay.
East Stirling posed little threat to the hosts' lead and Chris Hamilton made sure of victory for Queen's Park with a fine volley in stoppage time.
Forfar Athletic 1 Annan Athletic 5
ANNAN came from behind to destroy Forfar 5-1 at Station Park.
Forfar striker Ian Harty broke the deadlock after 15 minutes, only for Sean O 'Connor to equalise ten minutes later.
Graham Bell soon added a second for Annan as they led 2-1 at half-time.
In the second half, Annan swept their opponents aside as Lewis Sloan and a double from Scott Anson secured an emphatic win.
Stranraer 3 Berwick Rangers 1
A STEWART McColm hat-trick helped Stranraer to a comfortable 3-1 triumph over Berwick Rangers at Stair Park.
McColm struck twice inside the first 20 minutes and completed his treble shortly after the interval.
Berwick's Oliver Russell grabbed a consolation in the final minute.
Albion Rovers 1 Montrose 0
A 79TH-MINUTE strike from Steven McKeown was enough for Albion Rovers to overcome Montrose by the only goal in a scrappy encounter at Cliftonhill.
