Third division round-up
Albion Rovers 2 Forfar Athletic 0
A GOAL in each half was enough to give Albion all three points.
The home side took the lead against the run of play on 27 minutes when Ian Harty fired a low shot past Alistair Brown at his near post.
Albion doubled their advantage just after the break when Bobby Barr drilled home from the edge of the box.
Forfar almost pulled one back near the end but Alan Simpson's shot was cleared off the line by Alan Reid.
Cowdenbeath 1
Annan Athletic 0
LEAGUE leaders Cowdenbeath were made to work for their 1-0 win over Annan at Central Park.
After Kevin Neilson fouled Graeme Brown, John Gemmell thundered in a low free kick, which flew into the net.
John Dempster hit the post with a curling effort in 57 minutes but ultimately the match was to end with just the one goal.
Lee Hoolickin came close for Annan and Mark Ramsay missed a late chance for the home side.
Dumbarton 1
Montrose 1
DUMBARTON and Montrose shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
The home side took the lead in the sixth minute, Derek Carcary running from his own half before rounding Tony Bullock and slotting home.
Montrose got the equaliser 10 minutes into the second half. There didn't seem to be a threat as a long free kick was played into the box, but Roddy Hunter got away a shot on the turn, and it crept in at the far post.
Stenhousemuir 4
Elgin City 2
STENHOUSEMUIR overcame a spirited Elgin City at Ochilview.
After just 40 seconds, Jordan Smith fired home from close range. Scott Dalziel doubled the lead in the 31st minute.
Elgin burst into life in the second half as Kenny Wright netted from six yards in the 47th minute then blasted the equaliser via the woodwork.
But Bobby Love restored the hosts' lead and Chris McLeod sealed the win with a close-range header.
