Thion cited over Glasgow clash
BIARRITZ skipper Jerome Thion has been cited for allegedly punching or striking Glasgow’s Richie Gray in Sunday’s Heineken Cup match.
Gray went off at half-time with an injured nose after taking what appeared to be a forearm smash, and attended the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow on his return to Scotland on Sunday night. Thion, the former France captain, will appear before an independent disciplinary hearing in Dublin tomorrow to answer a citing lodged by John Byett, the English citing commissioner. If found guilty, Thion faces a suspension of between two and 52 weeks.
