Korean winger Ki on Celtic's radar
THE SCOTSMAN: Korean side FC Seoul have confirmed Celtic have expressed an interest in signing highly-rated South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-yong. The Scottish Premier League side are due to meet 20-year-old Ki's representatives later today in London ahead of Wednesday's Champions League meeting with Arsenal.

Stokes cites Hughes factor in his decision to join Hibs

THE SCOTSMAN: Birmingham City midfielder Barry Ferguson has insisted he was not a flop during his previous spell in England and has "nothing to prove". Former Scotland captain Ferguson moved south of the border for the only previous time in his career when he joined Blackburn from Rangers in August 2003.

Falkirk target Liverpool winger
DAILY STAR: Falkirk are bidding to sign on-loan winger Ryan Flynn, 21, from Liverpool on a permanent basis after his blistering start to life at the Falkirk Stadium. The Bairns have an option to sign the player for 20,000 at the end of the season.

East Stirling sign former Celt
VARIOUS: Ex-Celtic, Dundee and Airdrie striker Simon Lynch has signed for third division East Stirling.
Manchester City snap up Sylvinho
VARIOUS: Veteran Brazilian defender Sylvinho has joined Manchester City on a one-year contract. The former Arsenal player, 35, was released by Barcelona at the end of last season and passed a medical yesterday afternoon to become the seventh new arrival of the summer at Eastlands.

Flush Everton to sign 9m Russian winger
VARIOUS: Everton will spend some of the cash from Joleon Lescott's sale to Manchester City on Russian winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov. A delegation from Goodison Park is expected to fly to Hamburg today to conduct a medical on the Locomotiv Moscow left winger, who is likely to cost manager David Moyes close to 9 million.

VARIOUS: HONG Kong billionaire Carson Yeung, whose investment company is bidding to take over Birmingham City, has promised he would spend up to 5 million on new players.
