Athletics: Mind over matter for Freya Murray in Poland

ATHLETICS: Freya Murray has set her mind on making her presence felt among the leading contenders at tomorrow's world cross-country championships in Poland after succumbing to the mind games of her American-based coach Steve Jones.

Murray said she will no longer be held back by any sense of inferiority in her bid to finish inside the top 20.

"In the past, I could never have believed that is possible but now I do," she admitted. "I've never been one to think 'I'll finish in that position'. But now I do believe I'm capable of something. As long as I believe in myself, that's the trick to getting there."
