Edinburgh pair Euan
McIntosh and Jacob Fearnley have continued their march
towards Scottish junior Open tennis titles at Craiglockhart.

Under-18 top seed McIntosh cruised into the semi-finals with a third successive straight sets win, by 6-4, 6-2, against Joe Woolley.

Blackhall-based McIntosh is joined by fellow Scots Adam Stevenson (Stirling University) and Vincent Gillespie, from Bridge of Allan, a former
under-14 champion in this tournament.

Standing between McIntosh and a place in the final is Alex Juniper.

In the under-12s, Jacob Fearnley has been even more convincing in reaching the semi-final for the loss
of just six games in three
matches.

Second seed Fearnley, playing on home courts, now meets fourth seed Bradley Buckland as he bids to take advantage of playing in the prestigious Longines Invitation event at Roland Garros, Paris.

Among the girls Waverley’s Alexandra Hunter has reached the under-14 doubles semi, as has Blackhall’s Kirsty Venter in the under-18s.
