There were no storm warnings for tennis ace Andy Murray yesterday as he enjoyed the weather in Perth (Australia, that is) and met Sunshine the Koala at the city’s King’s Park.

Steve Gillam of Caversham Wildlife Park introduced the nine-year-old marsupial to the world No 2, who said:“I love animals, I always have. I always grew up with pets and stuff, so it’s nice to meet some.”

Murray is in the city preparing for the Hopman Cup, a warm-up event for the Australian Open. He’ll be playing with Heather Watson in the GB team for the tournament, which starts on Sunday.
