Two games, four goals, six points - the last 180 minutes of football have been more productive than the previous 1,100 combined, and boy have we needed that.

But now, with the final games of the term upon us, we have an unwelcome distraction - the possibility of manager Derek McInnes heading off to London to take charge of what some up here might regard as an "inferior" club in Brentford.

I can see the logic behind it for Del, though. If Saints were to have a bad season next year it could seriously affect his ambition to manage down south.

But, if he were to get Brentford into the playoffs - or even get them up to the Championship, the Bees could be an even better stepping stone than staying in Perth.
