SPL Fanzone: Hamilton Accies
ANOTHER weekend passed with Accies not winning but still gaining ground on all of the other strugglers. Accies definitely deserved to beat Aberdeen, who were mostly unimpressive. We weren't helped by a referee who didn't award a stonewall penalty or red card for Zander Diamond after a shocking challenge on Dougie Imrie.
The great news for Accies is that by the weekend, Billy Reid is likely to have his strongest squad of the season available to him. We "entertain" St Mirren and can only hope by the time you read this they will have been demolished by Motherwell on Tuesday night.
But if we're to stay up it will be on our own merits and there's growing confidence within the Accies camp that better results are just around the corner. Mind you, no-one's about to make any Steven Pressley-type proclamations of safety just yet.
