SPL Fanzone: Falkirk
NO DOUBT about it, even my eternal optimism took a severe dunt on Saturday. Less than two minutes on the clock and ex-Bairn Collin Samuel fired the Perth Saints ahead and the Bairns' game plan started to come apart. Two minutes after the hour the self-destruct button was pressed and the collapse occurred. Game over.
The fans started to drift off and despite a pretty decent shout for a penalty that might have got us back in the game we simply were left chasing shadows. A disappointing day, but Eddie May and his management team are not going to hide away – they have already agreed to meet fans at a public meeting next week that will also be attended by club chairman Martin Ritchie where they will answer concerns and lay out plans for the future.
