SPL Fanzone: Dundee United
AT THE time of writing, United have still to host Rangers in a rearranged game that could almost define any attempt we make on the OF status quo in Scottish football. Either way, United have made colossal strides in the past couple of seasons; not so long ago, leaving Tynecastle with a point would've been cause for some serious celebration rather than the head-scratching disappointment after Danny Cadamarteri's penalty miss denied us the three points we deserved over the piece.
Kevin Thomson's outburst in the press laid bare the ingrained belief among the OF duopoly that, essentially, "how dare anyone even think about winning the SPL other than either of us!" It would be truly wonderful if someone (preferably United) could put an end to the turgid grip the OF have on domestic football. Fresh air and breath, indeed.
